We do this by adhering to our core values: • Integrity/Ethical Standards • Inclusivity/Diversity • Quality/Superior Performance • Reliability/Commitment Hanesbrands lives by these core values, which is evidenced in our historic track-record of leadership in responsible conduct: • Our Global Business Practices (GBP) employee code of conduct has been our guiding practice since the 1990s. • Our Global Standards for Suppliers (GSS), a supplier code of conduct, has been in place for more than a decade, years before similar codes. • Hanesbrands was pivotal in the creation of the Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (WRAP) program since the late 1990s to establish common standards in social compliance. • Our Global Environmental Management System (GEMS) ensures smart environmental principles are integrated into our daily business: waste minimization, resource conservation, minimizing overall environmental impact and enhancing value. • We’ve always given money and employee time generously to help meet the fundamental needs of our communities. For example, we’re the largest contributor in our home county to United Way, and are involved in numerous activities in the communities in which we live and work.
